Clinical handoffs, public health and product review
Teams connect care referrals, medicine and device review, mental-health access, long-duration health research and life-course services. A referral specifies the consenting patient, clinical custodian, receiving capacity and transport constraints. Public health information uses appropriate aggregation and uncertainty statements; identifiable clinical records have a much narrower access purpose.
The powers we hold and the powers we refer
Clinical judgement remains with qualified care professionals. Planetary Protection Authority retains independent planetary protection, Bioethics & Future Generations Council oversees human research ethics and Emergency Rescue & Continuity Agency owns its competent evacuation role. A biomedical approval is not permission to deploy a device in every habitat or perform an unreviewed human study.
A case in practice
Illustrative case / HLT
A resident needs continuing care while travelling between worlds. The originating team provides a purpose-specific referral, the receiving team records acceptance and the transport interface identifies support duties. Commercial reimbursement disputes are separated from the care handoff, and clinical data is not copied into a general public travel register.
