Decision owner: Justice & Legal Cooperation Commission
JUS / PUBLIC SERVICE NETWORK
Provides legal cooperation, access to counsel and consistent recognition of decisions.
Justice and Legal Cooperation keeps legal protection usable across jurisdictions, including for people far from a court building or a live hearing. It serves residents, advocates, local justice bodies and institutions transferring a case or enforcing a recognised decision. It is a cooperation and access body, not the Union Court itself.

Teams support legal aid, civil recognition, protected evidence transfers, criminal cooperation, rehabilitation, mediation and public legal knowledge. A cross-region case retains the originating evidence, representation needs and competent review route. Translation and accessibility are part of the procedure rather than optional conveniences.
Union Court of Justice decides the judicial matters within its charter. Justice cooperation cannot authorise a punishment or permanent restriction merely because another office requested assistance. Parties receive reasons, appropriate disclosure and a route to challenge competence or evidence handling.
A resident needs to contest a utility restriction imposed in another region. The justice desk identifies the competent court or review body, helps preserve the contract and finding, and coordinates accessible representation. The person is not required to abandon their home jurisdiction's civic record to bring the challenge.
